Default Seal prices

Piston ring (rebound) Part No BE250114120---£5.28 +vat each
O-ring 2087 Piston (compression) Part No BE114246---£0.22 + vat each

If this sorts the problem i will be over the moon. saving £££ on tuners prices.

Reading your posts (nick790) it looks like you have had a journey with your forks.

Check out www.marzocchi.co.uk for spares. Example: piston ring £3.95.

I buy all my shiver spares from them .

Default No parts yet.

Well i am still waiting on parts

I received the bottom valve o-rings from Gas Gas but unfortunately they are out of stock of the rebound piston ring.

Following Bergerhags suggestion i ordered them from marzocchi uk....but the order is still pending. So much for special delivery.

So annoying to be waiting on suppliers

Thats a bugga!

Have you tried Dave at Bike tech?

Or Dr Shox or Steve Plain.

Or a Husky dealer, husky sport?

Nick i phoned Dr Shox (hes only bout 20mile from me)

I have not tried anywhere else. Is Steve Plain a GG dealer? i recognise the name from somewhere.

I will have to have a phone around in the morning. Never thought of a husky dealer i will try that too.

I think i will have more chance of finding rocking horse s**t

I saw on ebay someone breaking a FSE450 they wanted £320 for forks clamps and rear wheel.....tempting.
They listed Ohlins forks but they sure looked like shivers to me.

thanks
darren

Having just posted on Klausens post of Rebound no adjustment i thought i would up date this post.

After calling everyone under the sun to find one of these Rebound piston rings i have left it like this.
I am waiting on GG uk and marzocchi to see who comes up with the parts first.

Disturbingly after speaking to marzocchi uk and returning to the parts list on their web site it appears that the rebound piston ring has dissapeared off there list

Any way. Whilst waiting on these parts i took my inner rod (with the rebound piston attached) also the bottom valve down to MCT (suspension tuners)
He looked at the rebound piston ring and said there is nothing wrong with it and the teflon coating is only microns thick, more likely to wear the piston tube than the teflon (interesting)
He also stated that the shims on both Rebound and Compression stack were miles too thin and its not suprising i have no damping.
He said that he has done a few marzocchi shiver forks from new and they all are very soft.
I was advised to fill with 10w oil and if that did not work mix some 15w with it.

If all else fails he could revalve for me to what ever viscosity i wanted to run in the forks.

So

I have removed four shims out of the forks (the poxy 11mm ones.)
Filled with oil to 130mm air gap with 10w oil.

I have marginal difference when adjusting the clickers from fully in to fully out.

I have test ridden the bike it feels much the same as it did before.

Terrible.

I just hope these parts turn up soon.

Some of the shim sizes seem a little odd compared to others i have seen posted see what you think.

I am 76kg + kit
Average clubman not worried about comfort just speed and stability.

NOTE i have done nothing with the shim stacks.

Rebound

Spring
15x0.3
15x0.2
15x0.3
22x0.3
11x0.2
Piston
21x0.1
19x0.1
17x0.1
15x0.1

Compression

Spring
22x0.3
Piston
11x0.2
22x0.12
11x0.2
20x0.12
19x0.1
11x0.1
18x0.1
17x0.1
16x0.16
15x0.2
12x.12

As i said some of the shims are odd (0.12)

Reading other posts on the site i thought mabe pulling the comp piston bleed shim 11x0.2 and also the first on the check valve (11x.02)
I cant be too radical as i only have the shims listed to play with.
Something doesn't look right with the rebound stack?
Is that a bleed shim off the piston face (11x0.2) ????
If so....pull it!

And I can't make any sense out of the BV stack either "that's a weird arrangement of shims.
looks like a 2 stage stack with a bleed shim, way over done.

What about this
BV
22x10
11x10
20x10
19x10
18x10
17x10
12x20
