EC250 engine rebuild?
Hi all, just looking for some info as I've misplaced my bikes owners manual.
I've got a 2009 ('08 EC250 sixdays). It's got about 35hrs max on the engine, no idea of mileage as the clock died early in it's life. I race as a sportsman. How soon/when should I be rebuilding the engine or changing the piston & rings etc. It's always been run on synthetic 2T oil @ 50:1 as per the factory. Robs.

I change my piston, rings at about 80 hours, others here in Greece keep them till 150! with no issues.

35 hrs its still a baby!
I'll do mine seasonally (in winter) or 75hrs, depending on how much and how I ride. I don't like to tear the bike down mid season if I don't have too, rather ride when the weather is warm here. You should be fine for another 35-50 hr season.
