FFR_ride, these bikes eat fuel about 4,5 liters/hour on amateur style of riding and 5,5 to 6 liters/hour on a serious racing in a enduro and with mods the fuel effiency factor can`t be modified to a fuel saving wonder. a burn that whole 9 liter tank empty on a 1,5 hour enduro training or a little over 1 hour motocross training.

i count engine ours straight from fuel consumption (5.5 liters/hour) and i have about 165 hour on my recent bike = 900+ liter fuel.(2006 february-->) my old bike saw 185 hour march 2005-january 2006) = over 1000 liter fuel.

I have a 2003 EC300 and I can go well over 2 hours on a tank of gas when riding off road, and I get around 30 MPG on pavement. I haven't done any mods except the LTR jetting kit.

As for a boot not fitting, I have the opposite problem - I have to lift my foot completely off the peg to get my boot over the shifter. I am going to adjust the lever down some to fix this. You can probably do the opposite.

To get the best performance out of a GasGas it needs to be jetted properly. Jetting makes a huge difference in performance and fuel economy. I have had good results with LTR jetting.

Beyond jetting, the next best improvement is by far the RB Designs head modification. You get better performance and efficiency.

I weigh 270 lb geared up ready to ride. My favorite riding area is http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/recreation...s/trails.shtml Riding on the most difficult trails, I get 28 to 32 mpg.

Four stroke riders are amazed how far I can go on my GasGas 2 stroke.
