Hello,

I have a question to all of you. I like ti know which Piston (original, Vertex, Anthena or Wössner) is the best for my EC300 year 2001. I use it for Motocross only.

I've used all of them. I have the vertex in my bike right now. I think that I will put another one in. It is down on compression now but it did last a whole season racing in the AA class. I also did get a little dirt past the filter 3 time so I know that shorten the life of it a little bit. Under normal conditions I have got a season out of each brand. Remember the Athena and wossner are both made by wossner, but the athena has the coated skirt. From weighing them the wossner and athena are the lightest pistons almost an oz lighter than wiesco.

Your 2001 would have had a Wiseco stock I believe.

The bike may have reved up a little quicker with the wossner, but hard to tell without doing them side by side. I wouldn't think there is going to be enough difference in performance between the selection to make a choice based on performance. I say vertex for price, and availability. Of cousre I still need to take mine out and look at it to see if it is cracked. I have crack the skirts on the weisco and wossner piston. neither came apart, but they didn't have long to go.
