Default Parts availability for older GasGas

There have been several really nice used GasGas popping up locally from time to time and some I'd like to have for my son's to ride.

Not worried about consumables like brakes, bearings, etc. Just wondering about things like plastics, inner engine parts, etc.

Pre-2005 bikes.

just went through my 2002 300. needed some suspension parts (mostly those shims which keep the O-rings sealing the needle bearings in the linkage.) One phone call to Hall's cycles on thursday, parts arrived in Montana on Monday. Halls had the stuff in stock.

i wouldn't worry too much. i just realized that i've had this bike a decade (!) and parts are generally in stock at hall. maybe in 10 years i've had to special order 2 things. i think about buying a new bike, but i suck as a rider, and i have accumulated enough parts where the bike might outlive me.

I have a '99 and a '00. No issues getting parts.

Infact shortly I'm looking for a 200 for my 15 year old. Right around that age.

Just sold our '99 EC200 not long ago. Great old bike. One of the most fun bikes in our fleet.

Yeah my tax return got eaten up with home projects. My April bonus should be his 200. I'm not in a huge rush as our "buddy bike" kdx is at my house so he has something to ride.
