Default Trail Tech Striker

hi - my 2013 EC200 R has a Trailtech Striker speedo and it worked well for about 12 hours then both the Red and Amber lights came on and the screen went blank

I have checked all connection and suspect it is the voltage regulator - I have changed the battery and done a reset

Has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it??

Has you bike got a battery and starter motor or kick start only?

My trail tech did that when it got water inside it. Bag of rice for a few days and was good as new. Lol. Call Trailtech they have wonderful customer service. They may even fix it for free

is your bike ac or dc?
My 2007 EC300 has an AC system and fried (yes FRIED) 2 Voyagers, trailtech told me to just run the third one off the voyager battery or do a dc conversion. But they blamed my AC system and said to never connect it to the AC system again. They were great customer support.

Kick start only no battery - I see someone else has put it down to water but I was wondering if it was the small component that is shrink wrapped to the power cable?

That is odd because it says right on the website it will run on AC current. But all the newer bikes have a DC power wire. And I am certain the 2013 is no exception.

I have a 2013 ec300 R and the first one only lasted 3 months
Had it replaced under warranty and haven't had any issues since
May or may not have been water (it's always wet here in NZ)

Seems like 2013 kick start only bikes have a problem with voltage, your the third person on the forum with similar issues. No answer to this problem yet.

Does you bike blow headlight bulbs often?

Default Trail Tech Striker

Factory no help at all - local NZ agents told me they had no listing for my bike!

Ended up ordering one on line and had it shipped to NZ - half the price of buying one locally - swapped GG fascia and it looks stock
