Default 08 250 DE with 03 250 EC IMS tank - Pictures

It took me about an hour and half to get it all bolted up and ready to go. Two people could make things go alot quicker.

I used a 1999 KX250 front number plate. I just guessed on the year of the number plate when I ordered it. I knew the older KX250 plates worked but, wasn't sure on the correct year. It fits! (with some modding, of course)

looks nice and neat, what did you have to do to make it fit? How much fuel does it actually hold?

Put the 2 top bolts in the shrouds. Then heat the shrouds up pretty hot. It would really help if you hand a 2nd person pull on the shrouds while you put in the bottom bolt.

Repeat for the other side.

I cut the slot, where the tank hooks to the seat, back about 1/4 of an inch.
Again, it helps to have a 2nd person when you install the seat too. Once I got the seat bolted down; I used a tie down to pull the seat down to form a better fit. I would reccomend putting something between the tie down strap and the seat cover so you don't get a little indention.

How much modding did you have to do to get the kx front plate to fit up.
I am looking for a plate to replace the headlight on my 07 ec and the gasgas part is $145nz which i don't really want to spend compared to about $30-40 for a japanese part.

There's a plastic piece on the back and you need to cut off. It's very obvious and not hard at all to do.

Then you just put in the bolt that connects the plate to the top 3x clamp and put 2 zip ties to the forks.
