I'd check the plastic water pump impeller. Mine imploded and left me stranded as has some other GG Rider Club members. You can search the forum for more details.

A brake snake if you ride anywhere near rock or logs. The lever is soft and bends easily, but to much re-shaping it will snap off. Check and make sure your air box isn't rubbing the frame. If it is, cut some small hose and slice it up long ways and put it over the frame rails by the air box. The drain in the air box is on the small side and doesn't work real great if it's full of debris. I cut the end of it off so it would open up a bit more.

+1 on all of the above posts as well.

Then just ride the piss out of it......

Id say it depends on how and what type of terrain you ride. For us riding in the Western Canadian rockies, at a minimum I add to any bike:

Skid plate
Pipe guard
Rear rotor guard
Full wrap hand guards
Rad guards
Brake snake
HD tubes

Personal preference stuff I add:
Seal savers
Flexx bars
GPR dampner
Rekluse
Fork bleeders
Swap coolant for Engine Ice

Jetting, best and cheapest gas gas mod. There are numerous jetting threads in the intake/carb forum. You can expect a to change your bikes performance and fuel range dramatically for around the price of a tank of fuel in the uk.
