Port Timing
Is there much to be gained from getting the top of the piston level with the intake ports? I would have to use a stack of gaskets to achieve this. I would then have the head cut to bring the compression back up. Would I gain much top end from this? Anyone played with this stuff?

It all depends how far out it is. A little difference ie 0.3mm won't make as much difference as say a whole mm would. IMO if you are happy with the way the bike is running I'd keep it as is. If you're looking for a bit more, then by all means go for it. I personally like the bike a bit softer off the bottom and the big power up top. It suits my riding style. |

I added .05 to my gasket stack and it didn't really do to much. So I am with Jakobi if it runs good don't fix what isn't broke.
