Default 08 EC300 setup MX & Enduro

Hi guys!

Recently bought an 08 EC300. Love the bike! so much better than the 525 exc I had before.

I´ve been reading up on here about suspension but I still feel uncertain on what I need... Most threads seems to be about pre 08?

Now I´m 96-97 kilos, I think thats 210-215 WITHOUT gear! What would be "good" springs both for the forks and shock? Mostly ride forest byt also Mx track, nothing crazy but there are som 35 feet doubles and tabletops etc.
The sachs shock is replaced with an Ohlin. 54N/mm spring and stock 42s up front, dives hard under breaking. Only have 10hours on the bike, tried 2laps on the track and it bottomed pretty hard..

Ideas on springs?

.. 47 to. 48 fronts and a 5.7 to 5.9 rear, big boy. Sachs springs will fit the ohlins shock

I'm about 200 to 215 geared up depending .....
my 06 300 has 44 in the front and had a 54 on the back. I tried a 42 but that was too soft. I recently swapped the 54 for a 56 just to see what it would be like ... so far so good. My set up is for mostly knarley rocky rooty single track ... absolutely blows in whoops or any mx type of situation. at minimum youd probably want .46 and .56. The olins guy in Sc is pretty good to talk to.... actually any local suspension guy could probably set you straight

Hmm... So I should try 0.48 and a 58N/mm rear then. How will this affect woods riding? Rocks roots etc. Also my front wheel liked to slide sidways off rocks last time out, felt kinda weird cause it seems to swallow the obstacles very good (compared to the 525) but didnt "hold the line" Is this what you guys call "deflecting of rocks" ?

Is revalving the rebound a must with say .48s? I havent played much with settings, concentrating on learning to ride 2stroke again and thought I should have correct springs before spending alot of time trying different settings.
Front comp is at 5 out, 18 rebound.
Rear LS comp full tight, havent checked HScomp or rebound. Rebound is a bit fast though.

there are a lot of reasons you could be deflecting off rocks ... Tires choice could be one. Some tires eat up rocks others are just useless in rocks. Could be your clickers, maybe too much compression damping so you don't get the benefit of the whole stroke etc. etc. etc.
