If this is as big a problem as it obviously is(I stand corrected from another thread) it should be a warranty issue from GasGas Spain. Get rid of these plastic bits and send over the aluminium subframe to every friggin owner in the U.S.

I wish they would warranty this.

Has anyone else had any issues with the sub frame? It certainly is not designed to take a hit.

At least offer the new part at cost. There is a reason the European race models do not have the plastic subframe.

Yes. Looped my bike just like you and $1000.00 in parts later (just for this incident) I sold the lemon. Ill shut my mouth now about my opinion of the engineering abortion the '12 estart is.

Definitely contact motocross center for the best prices.

Im sorry to hear of your crash. Glad you are ok.

My response from greenlandmx said that I would have to purchase the side panels also.
I'm not upgrading until I absolutely have to, and it may never happen. I will have this bike for awhile. The wife wants to look at conversion vans to haul the kids and the boat around now.

The mounts on the bottom of the side panels are a great improvement I added them to my bike they are just clip nuts so drill a hole in the sub frame spars and panels. You can use 12 panels cut the bottom tab off then they are basically the same part but the 13 panel offers more plastic where it bolts to sub frame for a stronger hold

Nick, I'm not so sure about drilling the plastic sub to accept the '13 side panels.
just a thought.
