Starting point for N3CJ on 2011 ec 300.

Currently running a JD Blue needle in my 2011 ec 300 but would like to give the N3CJ needle ago that I have.

Looking for a starting point.

38mm AS2 carb
Temp approx 10?c and elevation upto 1000ft.

Hey Quigs,I've been running the n3cj for years in my gasser 300's and have settled on a 178 main,42 pilot,middle (or 3rd clip on the needle) and finally air screw around 1.5 turns out.
This will be fine at your altitude and temps.

N3Cj is one of the best needle for me ,maybe a little bit lean ,but nothing wrong .

I have a 42pj and upto 180mj so can adjust as necessary.

Also temperature where you are.

ec 300 2000 year ,elevation 500-1500m ,mj172-178 ,pj 42-45 ,temp 10-30 degree Celsius .

200m-1200m elevation and 10-35 deg celcius is the range I ride in with my combo, in our summer I'll raise the clip one position and still never been lean.
Don't forget your float level too!

I run the N3CH and I run a 42p and a 180 main. The main is still a little lean in the winter temps though

Can't find my 178 MJ so will order one tonight. Will also get a 45 pj just incase as temp's are 10 on a good day but can drop a little

Hi mate,42pj will be fine at sub 10deg temps,try it before frigging around with the 45.
