Chris, nice job on the box. have you fitted it to the bike yet? I found it necessary to notch the front of the battery box to accept the seat block.
afterwards the seat felt much better (sturdy). Also the two rubber spacers just behind the box needed to be notched a little for proper fit.good luck.
