06 ec250 knock (off idle)

hi cool website this is my first post, my bike has a slight knock straight off idle, i ride close to sea level in temps from 10c-35c its NOT the chain slider because it can do it in nutrel with bike stopped.

my jetting is

42pilot (40 std)
std needle (dont no number)
#7 slide
178 main (180 std)
air screw about 2 turns

should i go richer again on the pilot of try lifting the needle?

The power valve may be rattling.

yea i wondered if it is that because ive had some powervalve troubles. how do you make sure there is NO slop in the power valve??

Check your waterpump impeller shaft. I had a similar noise and that is what it turned out to be. You might have to remove the clutch side side cover to inspect it properly.
