Default 07 timing?

Hey Guys,
Just rode a six hour day / night ride and I am still having the bike ping at wot and bog down going from 1/4 throttle to wot, unless I feed it gradually.
Talking to a mate, he says that it sounds like a timing problem.
I had a previous thread about timing but didn't ask what the actual timing before Tdc should be.
Does anyone know what this is ?
The bike is an 07 Ec300 and I assume it is an Australian version as I am in Oz(not sure if they are different).
I am running castrol tts oil at 32:1 with 98 octane unleaded.
My jetting is 180 main,42 pilot ,1.5 turns on idle screw, N1eg plug, 2nd clip from top.
Any ideas or help would be great as I am scared to ride this normally for fear of seizure etc.
Thanks in advance ,
Mark.

I doubt its a timing problem.Spec is 1mm btdc I run at 1.5 for a little cleaner off idle perf. Why are you running such a rich gas-oil mix? Thats going to create a leaner a/f ratio and as a added bonus lots more carbon buildup with potencial glowing hotspots, that combined with high coolent temp's, perfect environment for pre ign.

Thanks widebear, I will change the timing first as the mtor was rebult b4I purchased and the timing may be wrong.I think I wil adjust it to what you have.
I am going to change the a/f ratio to 40:1 and will also check and changejetting to rid the bogging.
I'll ave a go at this on the weekend (I hope), and let you know how I go.
Cheers Mark.

Hi mark

GG recommend 50:1. Go with it. GG would hardly recommend a 50:1 ratio if the engine was going to be borderline lubricated would they ?
I have run 50:1 in my GGs for years and never had a problem. Use the best fully synthetic 2 stroke oil you can get and you will be fine. 32:1 is way too oily and too lean fuel wise.
