If I understand correctly it should be a 300cc 2005 txt pro model. I got this thing for $200 but the electrical is all messed up. Someone thought cutting wires was a good idea. So verifying the year so I can order the correct parts. Thanks guys!!

Chris
Hi Chris,
The F in the 10th place should show that it is a 2005.
That's a great deal. The wiring shouldn't be hard to work out. If you have both ends of the cut wires, you can simply go by colors to match them. On the EC models, the yellow wire from the stator is the 12v AC lighting wire. The black wire with the white stripe, from the cdi, goes to the kill switch.

Jim Snell at trialspartsusa.com or one of the long time GasGas trials dealers should be able to supply you with a wiring diagram.

I have a couple TXT Pro Parts list .pdf files. One for the 2003 and 2007.
It lists the part numbers for the harness etc...
PM me an email address and I'll email them. The are 3.7mb and 1.6mb
Cheers, Jeff

Default Decoding gasgas 250 trial

Heya,

I just recently got my gasgas 250 trial and the guy I got it off had no idea about anything apart from it being a gasgas 250 🙈 I've tried asking someone on Facebook about decoding but he told me I didn't send the right number and that it would be on the headstock but there ain't no number on that. The only number I'm finding is on the Swingarm. Anyone help me out? Would a photo of the bike help?

Any advice would be a huge help as looking for new parts

Normally, the VIN# will be stamped into the metal at the top front of the frame (maybe to the right of center), in the "steering head" area.
Depending on the year model, the VIN should start off with something like "VTRGG250".

I have had someone else look all over the headstock for me and absolutely nothing on it. I'm really lost. I've attached below what I've found on the swing arm

Default 2008 or 2010?

I just bought a gas gas ec 200 and I can?t figure out the year, I was told it was a 05, then I thought it was an 08 now I?m thinking it?s an 2010 because of the plastics. Hopefully someone here can use the vin and pictures to tell what it is. Thanks, Jer

Howdy,
So I don't really know how to decode it,because someone says something, and someone else says something else.
I'm not sure if it's a 2000 or a 2001 or older.

* VTREC250001000811* A 1006 That's the vin,it's FULL Cross.

So can someone confirm me a Date?

Thanks alot

By the VIN, your bike is a 2000 EC250.
By looking at the photo, I see that you don't have an airbox door and shortened left
number plate to make room for it: so it is a 2000, not a 2001.
