Default Fuel Leaking

Hi

Been out today and after dropping the bike (ahem!) it was leaking fuel out of the carb breather for a while.

I'm going to take the carb off this weekend off and try and give it a clean, but any thoughts on what this might be or advice on cleaning up carb would be appreciated

Thanks all!

you could also have something blocking your float needle..

Very often they come with the Keihin carb float set too high. My '07 was fine but both my '00 and '03 would pee while on the sidestand. No big deal and an easy adjustment. Also, do a search on rerouting the vent lines, so they do not draw in water and dirt.

Thanks guys

Is it just a case of bending the floats down a little then to try and stop this?

I'm going to strip the carb down and use some carb cleaner over the weekend

See the Sticky at the head of this forum for the procedure.

I guess its just the angle of the carbs, but they are really sensitive to level. Sometimes my carb would twist a little and would pee gas on the side stand. Like others have said, keep the float a bit lower than specs.

Do this guideline in the sticky also work for the newest generation of PWK.
I check my PWK 38 today - the float look totally different - almost only plastic no metal.Only the float assebbly tang is metal.
My GG 300 2009 Nambo is leaking on the trailer.
The float hight was 11mm - now I go to 14mm.
I can't test it until now.My shock is in service.

I believe it was the fine dirt in the fuel tank
they blocked the float needle teflon surface
after cleaning the tank no more leaking
