Default gas gas for a big rider

Hello, I'm 6'7" 250lbs and I am looking for a woods trail bike. I going to buy a bike in the next month and i am looking for some advice. There are a few gas gas bikes available near me. gg 2012 ec250r & gg 2011 ec300.

I used to ride a 89 cr250 but haven't rode in 10 yrs. I am worried the gas gas bikes are too small for me. Bar riser and lowered pegs probably be needed.

Should I avoid the 250, too small/less power for trail riding? 300 is a better choice? Any advice is appreciated.

I'm 250#, solid intermediate rider/racer. A 250 is my preferred woods weapon. I also ride a 300. I race a 250...for whatever reason, I turn faster laps on the 250.

From what I remember the old CR's were pretty small bikes. I once had a SL125 that seemed heaps taller in comparison. I recon a Gas Gas would have a higher seat height and therefore be a step in the right direction. Personally I'd go a 300 which will have 15hp+ of more controllable power than the ol red devil. You won't need emery cloth and a plug spanner every time you go riding either.

I'm 6'4" and I'm really comfortable on my '13 300. I did a tall seat foam and bar risers and it's comfortable to stand all day on it.

I have mostly been a 250 rider all my riding days but once I rode the 300 and found that there was very little vibration over the 250 and feeling that tractor power. I have fallen in love with the 300 motor.

I had an 06 250GG and it did seem small but the 11 and this 14 seem more stretched out to me. I am 6' and I like a tall soft seat. I had one on my 11 and liked it. This 14, I've not had enough time on it but the hour and a half that I put on it, the seat felt pretty good.

I bet there are only a couple of MM's between all the bikes out there for the woods. I think a GG or a Beta would fit you just as well as a Huskabergtm.

I am 6'5" tall and on a 2013 XC300, I would not have a issue with a 250 that was what I was looking for. Tall bars, fastway pegs and a its tall seat. I love the way this bike works compared to any of my KTMs.
