A while back I saw you could get them from the Beta site, the alternative is to grind out a smaller size with a dremmel

No.
It's a 2009 sachs fork (not racing version) See pictures.
I'm in Europe. (Hungary)

i saw it on the beta usa site, but cant see them any more. did a bit more research ad it appears that they no longer list them, possibly i believe because the newer sachs forks on the betas are more similar to WP forks now

The Sachs forks on the Betas continue to use 7mm ID shims.

Beta does not stock the 7mm shims, but we have built some for our own use. The plan had been to have them for large term sale but the process is such that it hasn't made sense to do so.

Thanks
You could ask your "local" RG3 suspension shop. I know the one in Sweden works on Sachs and surely have these shims available. However, I don't know if they are willing to sell you just the shims.

You could also contact Michigan Engineering as they offer 7mm id shims on their website. I have just googled it, I have never been in contact with them.

Michigan Engineering will make you 7mm ID shims if you commit to a minimum order of 1000 pieces ... of any particular size
