2011 ec 300 suspension
I recently bought a 2011 ec 300 and I am about 230lbs and average to beginner rider. The rear spring feels a bit soft but I cant figure out what compression rating is on it? or how to tell what a size bigger would be. Any information on these springs would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You'd be good with a 5.8kg on the rear. Ohlins numbers are funny this is what a 5.2 looks likeImageUploadedByTapatalk1368639889.622518.jpg

Nambo-trev is right, a 5.8 should be good for you. Thats what I have and Im 215lbs + with gear on. Make sure to set sag @ about 4" from free on a stand-to you on the bike with your gear on standing in an attack riding position.
btw-the only way to get spring rate info is directly from suspension people like Racetech or LT racing. You might want to respring your forks too if you havent already, that will make a huge difference.
