There is no alernative at the moment...except a second user version if you can find one. The reason I consider it overpriced is simple. It is not an end user product. It does a family of ECUs and is more suited to a dealer who may be working on a variety of makes (Ducati, GG and I believe HD). The interface cable I have could be made for less than $20 so you are paying $180+ for a piece of software to make 1 adjustment and check a few other settings.
The Kscan software, however, is a free download along with a couple of maps.
