Default Wanted Ohlins shock for 99 EC300

I've been having trouble with the shock on my 99 EC300 I think I would like to start fresh and rebuild a different unit. I would also be interested in buying all the associated rear linkages.

Willing to pay cash or I have the front end off the same 99 I could trade.
Forks triples and wheel.

Are you sure your shock can not be rebuilt. I would send it to Les at LTR Racing as he has the ability to repair and or replace any bad components.

If you are set on getting another one, I think that you can use a shock from 1998 to 2000. At some point I thought they changed the shock length and the lowered the upper mounting point. Maybe someone else can confirm or you can do some research.

If I had measurements...I could check against a shock from the related KX family...'cause Ya never know. I never measured the shock from my 00(it lives in Oregon now), but is definitely longer than the shock on my 03. I was gonna swap the beefier KYB forks I have, onto the 00(replacing the wp43s). While I was I was at it, I was going to check fitment of the shock(as they are a serviced matching set). Hence the reason for the earlier suggestion.

Right now the seal head has been replaced on this shock twice and gone through by a pro.
The problem is it keeps leaking which is leading me to believe the the shaft may be ever so slightly bent causing this problem. I'm going to rebuild the linkage to see if that cures the issue but wanted to get feelers out there for a shock now.

I'll pull my shock out today and take some measurements.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

Is it true that the shorter newer shocks (03 & newer) have an internal spacer to shorten them up but can be removed to make them the length of the older 02' and older shocks??

Must have sold the shock, I can't find it. If your linkage knuckle is bad I do have that. Will need new bearings, sleeves, and o-rings.
