HS Race range on stock tank?
I just bought a used '07 EC250 and have a harescramble Sunday. What kind of range are you guys getting on the stock 2.5 gal tank?
It'll probably be a 50 mile 2hr race and I'd rather not pit for gas. I wish IMS would make a bigger tank! Thanks, |

You should be able to make it 50 miles on a tank, but have spare gas instead as you'll be finishing on fumes. At the Desert 100 earlier this year it was a 50 mile lap and my 07 EC250 could just make it the 50 miles, but the bike was jetted too rich, float height was too high and it was 4+ hours of WFO.

DEPENDING ON CONDITIONS AND JETTING I WOULD NOT CHANCE IT. WHEN YOU CLICK IT TO RESERVE PLAN ON ONLY GOING 1 TO 2 MILES. PERFECT COND. AND JETTING IT MAY. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I HATE PUSHING MY BIKE

Seeing as you just got the bike, I would not chance it. I can get 50 enduro miles out of my 300s, but it really depends on the trails and who I'm riding with.

I went out today and rode 21 miles and used about a gal. so I think I better pit for gas.
Thanks for the replies, |

Hey speedy ... care to pontificate on your prefered float height and how to set? I'm always looking for better mpg. |
