Meca brake lever/ Fasstco Spring

I ordered the Meca rear brake lever for my 06 EC250. The lever went on smoothly bit I, for the life of me can't figure put where or how the Fasstco caliper return spring installs. The spring fits in the inside of the piston but the tophat nut doesn't fit inside.
Has anybody installed this setup? I know it's probably something very simple and I know I'm gonna feel like a dork when I get the answer but.....HELP !!

Whew ! Glad I figured it out, turns out it was simple just as I feared. If you try to install the spring in the right place it is much easier :-) FWIW the Fasstco return spring kit installs above the clevis to the MASTER CYLINDER not the caliper piston. A nice idea and a nice kit although for those of us suffering from the occassional "senior moment" a picture would've been nice. The Fasstco web site described the part as a master cylinder return spring and that's what got me in the right place. Just in case someone needs this info in the future it is now here!
