Default Rubber Intake Manifold EC300

Hi all, I've purchased a new rubber intake manifold for my 2003 EC300 and was just wondering if it made any differance which end went on, i.e. is there a specific end for the carb and one for the engine side or does it make any differance??

Mine has little arrows on it. But if the ID is the same it shouldn't make a difference.

Apparently the older ones had the arrows on the and the newer OEM replacement parts don't and go on either way...
