Question ltr jet advantage?

hi, i have a 2001 ec250 current carb is set up with 178 and 38 jets NC1ED needle no7 slide air screw out one and a half turns, riding around 880ft above sea level. the bike seems to run ok when warm, it even idles, bit hard to start cold but. however it has no top end, what sort of improvement would the LTR jet kit give me?? and the better question is, anyone know where i can get one in australia or someone to get it off in the states??
thanks in advance...

178 with the N1ED is about right for your conditions. I suspect you have other issues if poor top end is the problem. Thats where jetting is the eaisiest to dial in. The LTR kit improves the entire range and especially the transitions. Wide open is still the main jet. What have you done as far as maintanence to the motor? I would first say check for a sticky powervalve, bad reeds, and a worn top end.

Default engine history

hi thanks for the reply, the bikes done 5500kms but had new piston, rings, powervalve bearings and general de-carbon clean 200kms ago, the bike has always seamed to scream through the revs and then all of a sudden power just stops. had a look at the reeds today and they look like there starting to fray on the edge, best get some new ones...
