Ok so my temp sensor went out and I over heated my bike, I stop the bike once I notice coolant from the over flow. I washed it, started up fine and put it in my garage. I replaced temp sensor today and it will not start, just occasionally back fires.

You will want to check your water pump impeller - it probably "melted"... A machined aluminum replacement with better flow quality is available as a replacement.

Can't help you on the no start issue - in older models, turning off the key for a minute or two would allow the ecu to reset and get around a hard start issue.
