Default 06 ec 300 update with later plastics?

Looking to freshen up my 06 300. Heard that rear subframe form newr bikes can be fitted allowing fit of new style side panels / mudguard. Anyone have anymore info on this idea. Also will new style rad shrouds fit 06 bike?
cheers

I am fairly sure newer shrouds will also fit.

Great stuff, thanks for the prompt info. Got bike cheap, hardly used though but a bit dated. Think I will get bits and pieces gradually as I can afford them then update now I know it can be done.
cheers

You can bring that bike all the way up to '11 plastics and ergonomics. The frame fabrication is different in '10/'11, but the geometery is the same.

What does that mean? Would the frame need to be altered? What would this project consist of?

It means the frame looks different, but in terms of plastic you can make all bikes from 04? up look like the 2011.

Before 07 you need the new subframe, but it all just bolts right up.

I think shrouds work all the way back, its the subframe which cost the most to change. With that you would need the new style airbox, and the plastics.
