rear caliper replacement
i need to replace my rear caliper on my 2010 ec 250 so thought now might be a good time for an upgrade.
it seems gg use a very old style of nissin unit, does any of the newer calipers fit from nissin as seen on hondas, yams etc ? if not does any year ec caliper fit ? |

They won't interchange, the new caliper is shorter. The brake hose is also different. But, you can always swap that.
You can get a caliper from BRAKING that will fit. This is a generic pic of the Braking caliper. |

If the lug on the swingarm is the same, I don't see why the older style caliper and carrrier would not work. I'm pretty sure in '07 the MCs got the newer smaller calipers and the ECs the older stuff, and I doubt the swingarms are different. The older style (larger) pads are very common, so I would think the caliper is as well. As far as an upgrade goes I always thought the rear brake was more than enough and never had trouble with heat running organic pads.
