I just picked up a Dunlop Universal Trials tire off of Craigslist for $20. How old is this tire? Couldn't find any info on the web. It still has the sticker on it so it's never been mounted. Is it worth mounting? thanks

And, for $20, what's the harm? 20 minutes of your time, at worst. If it works, you scored a bargain. The absolute worst case is that you get to go out riding and find out what a bad tire feels like, but at least you are out riding!

I would say with a good tube you won't have any issues, I don't think it will disintegrate on the trail and leave you stranded.

Ok, thanks. Hell yea, for 20 bucks it's worth the experiment. I checked the date block and it has 503, so I'm guessing Feb 03. Gotta love craigslists.
