Default 2001 BMW f650

Thinking of getting one of these.
Anybody on the forum have any ride time on these bikes.
Any owners ex owners have any opinions?

Yeah I know their are forums for the BMW adventure bikes but I prefer to get opinions from a third party source. If you know what Im saying.

The bike looks pretty good specifications and performance for the money.
Thx

I have looked at them from time to time but I have a 2001 KLR650 so there isn't much difference except in price. I'm sure the BMW has it all over the KLR but I paid 4K for mine brand new.

I just traded in my 2009 Kaw Concours for a 2015 BMW F800GS. I definitely wanted at least 2 cylinders. Singles are good for the dirt but on the street it a bunch of vibration. I still have the KLR which is basically the "dooms day" machine. But if you want something good for the street with just a smidgen of off road go with at least a 2 cylinder machine.....

The 800 is a blast to ride, very nimble and pretty good power. Smooth too.
