The bike was setup by the previous owner, has an FMF Gnarly on it. I'm only guessing but I'd think he rejetted for it or had a tech do it for him.

Jetting seemed good, possibly a bit soft/fat in the bottom. But I did notice when cleaning the bike that the map switch was in the rain setting, I forgot all about the switch and never tried the sunny setting, maybe that would have woke up the botom a bit ? Not that it was lacking, just mellow compared to what I was expecting going to a 2T. Mid range was real strong, and pulled well up top.

Dont think its as quick as the FE450, that bike scared me more than once lol.

And yes we are Super Man to the kids hell I still look up to my Dad like he is a super hero.

Good to know lol, thing power wheelies on command even in rain mode....guess the young lad will think I'm really Super Man next time out....or be laughin his butt off as I loop it out hahaahaaaa.

Was kinda wondering why it seemed so forgiving and mellow. Maybe the old FE wasnt as quick as I remembered afterall either

It won't make any difference right off the bottom, but it will drop the RPM where the steep advance starts, so it will feel more torquey sooner in the rev range. This is based on good jetting.

I'm betting for a slow guy like me, that rain mode in the single track will work out just fine.

But I'm sure gonna try out the sunny setting next ride I think its more going from the 4T to the 2T why the bottom felt a bit weak more so than the jetting being off.

Bit premature to give the chassis a real run down, since I wasnt in any ruts/roots/trees today. But I can say that its much more planted feeling and more controled for me turning/braking/accelerating than on my Husaberg. Feels soooo much lighter, and lower than the Berg, I really like this EC. I dont feel like a noob on it

Damn, this thing is awesome. After this ride I'll never go back to a 4 stroke.

I'm slow, but this bike made things sooooo easy compared to my previous bikes. I could actually push myself a bit and still feel in control. I tried to stand as much as my legs would allow, I gotta admit I'm outta shape and had to sit to rest though. Legs are burning tonight.

Not sure why guys think you cant run a gear high and lug a 2T, this thing is like a tractor. But damn lively in the mid to upper range, so fun.

I setup the controls, moved the bars ahead and rolled them forward a bit, lowered the brake pedal and moved it to the front holes too. Much better now, I wasnt hunting for the brake pedal, and the bars didnt feel like they were in my lap. Big improvement.
I found it pretty roomy setup like this, I'm 6' and I did not feel cramped sitting or hunched over while standing.

I did find down shifting from 2nd to 1st caused me a few problems today. Coming into real tight corners in single track I wound up finding neutral which made exiting the corner smoothly impossible....click her down roll in the corner and get on the gas expecting drive only to find none caused some balance issues lol, never dropped her but I'm suprised I didnt.

Upshifting on the other hand was silky smooth.

Gotta say, even though these are built with competitive riders in mind, they sure make a slow guy feel pretty good about himself
