I find it is always best to phone bike shops; don't think many will answer emails. Cr4p customer service, but that's the way it is. Don't know why they even include email on their websites / advertising. Think of it from their point of view - many shops are run by ex professional racers who can't / won't use a computer and probably aren't that good at writing in a business like way, but do know about the bikes they are selling parts for.
+1 for Dave at Biketech. (who will complain a lot if you try to email him)
