Default Light Switch question

Quick question: On my 2007 EC300, I took off the number plate and intsalled the light. I am not seeing where the toggle switch attatches. It looks like it should go on the triplr clamp where the number plate was attached. If so, does it need a plastic cage? I looked through my bag of stuff I got from the dealer and there was nothing in there.

Thanks

Of course mine is quite a bit older but my light switch was actually mounted on the back side of the number/light plate. The reinforcement web on the right side was drilled and that is where the switch is mounted. Out of sight but easy to switch on and off. No high/low option though. I bought this bike new, no turn signal or horn switches. That was how the (back then) XC's came. Not sure about your newer model though. I bought my kid the '04 and none of it was hooked up when we got it, I figure it originally had the combo switch by the l/s hand grip but previous owner removed it. I drilled the same spot on the number plate and mounted a toggle switch for him that way also.

Just drill a hole on the side of the headlight mount and put it there. Mine is one the left side.
