Default Can we have the forum as the home page?

I would love it if the main forum index was the home page.

That means when you open www.gasgasrider.org it will open http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/index.php

Or the forum tab opens the link in the same page, not a new one.

I think we might get more people accessing the forums if they can get straight into them. Also I have a strange thing that I lose the top toolbar when I click through and it opens a new window. Does that happen to anyone else?

My laptop is that way. I think it's a browser issue with IE7. Like bergerhag said, just bookmark the forum for access.

Spent about 20 minutes last night trying to "fix" the toolbar issue!

IE...who uses that? FireFox all the way!

The only thing I would like is the site not to time out or hang...what ever you call it...on me when I'm trying to post.

This site is booming with activity. That kinda slows things down.

All the reason to donate some money so Jeff can afford some up grades.

It has always hung for me. Doesn't matter if I use IE or FF.

Not that many donated but those who did have been very generous - many thanks.

Versus upgrading my house setup - I think need to move the site over to a commercial server - it is currently on an older linux server in my garage and user activity is up 50% from last year; I have noticed it being slow and unresponsive at times as well.

Jeff,

Shared hosting is very cheap, like $5/month if paid for 3 years. If you are thinking of going that route I can certainly answer any questions you may have. I have about 5 sites using www.jaguarpc.com.
