Went out yesterday with the above settings, spooge is only running halfway down the muffler now. It's definitely cleaned up but still dies at the peak, gonna go down to a 168 and might lower the needle one groove.

^^^^If the above has no impact I'm considering taking it back to the dealer for them to take a look at. Even with the 170 main in it I doubt that it should be dying/no power at wot.

I will have only been out on it 5 times at that stage, are dealers usually receptive to taking a look at it gratis or should I prepare for the worst??

Thank you for reporting back. I will probably try exactly your set up on a friends bike. He already changed the 175 with which the bike came to a 172 but with a 42 pilot. We ride at 200 meters (about 660 feet) and temperature is currently only 15 to 18 C (60 to 65F). I guess that should work well as he almost never rides WOT and has a lot of spooge. When it was warmer his bike sounded very rich from down low to top with the standard N1EF.

- EC300, m.y. 2009
- altitude: 100 m above sea level
- riding temp: 3...20 C

- main: 175
- pilot: 40
- needle: E3CJ, clip at highest notch

Feels like a different bike after N1EH needle. Wheelies in 2nd gear...
Thanks to jakobi & F5 for advice.

Hello all,

Just finished a great single track ride but I still have some jetting work to do. Here is what I ran today. Please let me know what you think?

Bike year & model = 2018 EC250 (stock except for turbine 2 w/ spark screen)
Temperature (degF) =65 to 80
Elevation (feet) = 1300 to 1500 feet
Main jet =175
Pilot jet =42
Needle & notch =NEDW 3rd from top
Air screw setting =1.5
Throttle valve/slide =stock

Results: Everything felt great at 65 degrees. Had a momentary off idle bog as the day get warmer but it was only noticeable when at idle then whacking the throttle. Never noticed while under load. Tried everything from 3 out to 1/2 in on the air screw but it nothing eliminated the bog. Seemed to have better throttle response at 1.5 to 1 in.

Any recommendation for where I should start? I was thinking about dropping the clip one slot first as I don't have a larger pilot at the moment. Thank you in advance for any advise.

Tried some new jetting at the MX track yesterday.
2018 EC300
MJ: 175
PJ: 40
AS: 1.5
NEDW: #2

Temp range: 20c -30c

Air screw started at 2.25 but it kept backing out during the day so I'm not 100% on its position. Anyway, best I've seen my plug looking since I bought the bike.

Almost identical to me, except I run a 172 main.

How's your plug look Nate?

I'd like to compare this result to riding bush where I tend to use the bottom 50% of the throttle as opposed to the top 75% on the track.
