Default Quick Rip on the EC200

One of my buddies has a piece of property that we've slowly been working on. The original trail we cut in crossed the creek in an unfortunate spot, at least it was unfortunate for anyone trying to cross it on a bike...lol. I know I took a bath on my first attempt, and it was pretty damn cold.

This video shows the new creek crossing and slippery climb right out of it.

I haven't done anything to the bike and my assumption is the previous owner didn't either (bike had ~12 or so hours when I picked it up if I were to guess). I'll probably do the head mod at some point, but haven't wanted to take it apart in fear of not being able to ride...lol.

It's definitely a different beast than my 300, but throttle response is spot on and even better now that I'm running the 40 pj. Drool was significantly better too, only a little after ~2 hours of engine time. We'll see how it looks after a full day ride...assuming the damn snow melts sooner rather than later

She definitely sings when getting on the pipe, huh

Now if only the snow will melt so I can get out and ride again

Sounds great Brad! That 40 pilot sounds like it did the trick.

Gonna be a big fat mess at all of our riding spots for quite some time!

I do know a place way up North that is always rideable in winter (belfair/Tahuya) Long drive though!

Bring a personal flotation device...melted snow + rain. I've posted several vids on my You-Tube channel of said "wetside" riding. I'm fairly certain Tahuya means "soaking wet" in some kind of language

have a look what needle yours has, it woke mine totally up.(CCL)
it made it run much better when not on the pipe en picked up better instead of yours seemingly chocking
headmod will allso be a very good investment
better do it now when the snow's around ;-)
what gearing do you have?
Hannes.

Russ - I'm hoping that all this warm rain has at least melted some of the snow that hit Shotgun. We could get lucky and be able to get some riding in down there, think it's far enough out from the Cascades (and only 2800 ft up top) that the trails are passable. I'm out this weekend, but really want to get out and ride the following weekend (2/22).

Hey Hannes -

I have the R1470 needle at the 2nd clip, the CCL looks to be a big step leaner and I don't think it would be the right direction. I want to get a slightly leaner needle for testing, but haven't done it yet. It doesn't feel like she's choking; there's a definite hit, but it's manageable.

I swapped from 12/48 to 12/50 and it's much better for the terrain I typically ride

Yeah...need to do the head mod - it's on the list...lol.
