Default Led bulbs

I just bought a ufo "twins" headlight and after doing some reading, i cant have both low or flood on at the same time with the halogens. But with LEDs i could. Does anyone know what kind of LEDs would work in that light? I like LEDs a lot. The tail light i bought is just a cheap chinese one so that bulb can probably stay.. I want it just for a running light anyways.

You need to look at the bulbs in the UFO assembly and do some work to find the bulb type. You can probably use the bulb mfr model number to get the bulb type. Then hop on ebay or amazon to find an LED equivalent. I think the bulb type is an MR16 but you should verify before you order. MR16 bulbs come in a few different wattages. You can probably get the LED equivalent for the highest wattage LED version as they draw much less current and create much less heat than the halogen equivalent.

Are you running a battery in your bike?

High power LEDs sometimes need a fairly stable supply or they can burn up quickly.

On my 2011 am running a 35w HID in a custom fitted projector, tons of light compared to standard but I have fitted a battery and added a DC circuit to smooth the voltage and make accessories easy to fit.
HID + brake light on = 6.5A current draw

No battery. Never planned on running one. I'll look at the manufacturer number and see what I can find. Thanks a lot guys.

They are mr16s. Pretty cheap also. Think I'll pick up a few colors. Bright white, blue, and red. A red white and blue theme would be cool for the 4th
