Default 50mm zokes on an '05 EC 300?

I just picked up an '05 EC 300 (the bike in my signature now belongs to my father-in-law). Being new to GasGas' I measured the stanchion tubes in an effort to identify my forks and was somewhat surprised to find they measured 50mm. Did these forks (awesome btw) come standard on some of the EC's? I am curious b/c I thought that they only came on MC models.

Should have had 45s on it if it is an 05 EC300, sounds like someone swapped them. If the lower legs measure 50 and its got a red nut on top they're 50s off an MC. Of course if you want the correct forks I'll be glad to trade you a great set of revalved 45s and the triple clamps to go with them. Just kidding, sort of...

The lower leg does measure 50mm and it does have a red nut on top.
My initial impression of these forks is very positive. I thought they might deflect and be harsh but they seem to soak up the trail trash fine and are very good at speed.
