I love my Scotts Steering Damper. It has saved me several times.

Recently came across the Ohlins SD2.1 steering damper - used but the guys is selling for $250 vs normal price of $700. Very nice looking damper. But when trying to find out if it will fit a 2012 300, I am having no luck finding any info for it. One would think Ohlins makes a mount for our newer GG's......

Any input or advice would be great.

Thanks

What bike is the Ohlins from?
From my Ohlins rep........These dampers can be moved but it is not very cheap. The race retails for around $250.00 and the nut for the steering stem is around $100.00 as well. For him to change bikes would be a little pricey. It may be better for him to buy a new damper so he can get the warranty. He could save a few bucks but in the end it may not be worth it.

Thanks for the information.
Wow - that is not cheap.
I would be willing to pay the 100 for the nut, I guess.....

As for the race I may have to come up with something different...

Now how do I get in contact with your rep or buy from you?
Thanks

Default ohlins 2.1

I have one on my 2010 sixdays but not on my 2011 nambi because the nambi has an adjustable rake for the front end that will not allow the 2.1 to work. I really dont notice most of the stuff we ride is tight tuff single track not high speed

Default What Sweep Setting?

If I'm riding in sand at medium to high speeds I'll crank up the low speed to 4 - 6 clicks out, but turn it back down when back in the woods.
GMP, I used your high speed setting and like it a LOT. Out of curiosity, what sweep setting do you use in the woods?
Thanks!

I use the full sweep, because you sometimes hit stuff while not pointed straight. Also, it does not bother me with the low speed turned way down.

On the '12, the damper does not go active on the high speed ckt anywhere near as much as the older bikes. In fact I can't remember when it happened last.
