Default Dent in top leg 45 Shiver

Anybody have any clever ideas for removing a dent out of the top leg? Previous owner modified the steering stop screws allowing too much travel. Top tube impacted the frame at full lock. I've tried a small hammer, a heavy drift punch & a tailpipe expander. The dent is very small, but it is binding at the very end of its travel. Has anyone been successful in repairing a dent?

I would take in to a machinist and get them to skim/hone the inside of the tube. It wont have the anodising obviously but knowing those forks it?s probably worn off anyway

Thanks for the reply Yes, that crossed my mind. I'll see what I can find used, if not off to the machinist.

I wonder if you could weld on a tab and use a dent puller to pull it out.

That ally is strong as hell! The dent is smaller than you think, but that last bit of the kink just won't go back. I think welding would surely cause warpage issues? I did the best I can, I think it is more economical to find a used one.

Do a KYB conversion.
Moving forward, everything will be easier.
