Default Throttle Limiter

How do I get the throttle on an 05 450 to open up all the way? It maxes out at about 1/4 throttle as it is. Do I have to file that little tab off that is on the throttle body? Thanks in advance!

Thanks.......now I hope this bike comes alive, as with the stock fuel map, and the throttle stop, it felt more like a 125cc than a 450! Now out to the garage to wake this thing up!!

Make sure you remove the restrictor plate in the airbox also and muffler restrictor, Get the fuel injection set after you do these things.

Wow....what a difference! Throttle restricter gone, and yellow / blue wire unhooked! Totally different bike! Now I'm smiling!!!! Can you explain more about the airbox, and muffler restricter? What is involved in removing them? Dealer gave me an FMF silencer for this bike as well, but I haven't installed it yet. Anyone using one of these, and if so, how does it work/ sound? I think I'm gonna like this bike!

Definitely switch to the FMF, more than likely you have the Kreiger pipe on and it doesn't have a spark arrester. With the FMF you will notice another slight boost in power.

Ok........one more question, then I'll quit buggin you. What is involved in "setting" the fuel injection? I'm sure it's something the dealer has to do, but, is there a certain number, or something that it needs to be dialed in to? This fuel injection stuff is all new to me.
