Default Milling out triple clamps?

Anybody do this,, I've seen mention of this, heard bad and good.. I need to mill out 1mm diam in the lower clamp to fit the set of zokes I have. They are 58mm,, The WP are 57mm? and what are the ohlins/zokes/sachs,, if any of these are 58 or 58.5(I could shim) I'd feel better than milling them..
Thanks,,

Milling the clamps is absolutely okay. Measiring the clamps for an accurate number will be important, but this isn't a piano, you can be slightly over or under your number, that's what the clamp is for. I'd feel way better about milling 1mm out of a clamp than clouging up a shim.

According to the prints Sachs forks measure 54.0mm at the top of the leg and 59.3mm at the lower clamp.

To do it right, they should be line bored.
Meaning the holes in the upper and lower clamps are true and straight to each other as the're mounted on the bike, if one is off by just a degree or two that could mean 1/4" or more from clamp to clamp...and that will cause all sorts of problems.
