Default Fse 400 / FSR

Hi guys im new to this site .

Does anybody know if the clutch system on the FSE 400 (2002) is the same on the FSR 400/ 450. I have managed to damage mine FSE and can only find a second hand FSR one ( like bloody gold dust) except its in germany and i'm in the uk, So dont want to buy one that wont fit .

Also is timing chain on the drz the same length as fse ?

Cheers

You can eliminate 2005 as that year they fitted a slipper clutch.

The slipper and the standard clutch are interchangeable except for the plain plates. Some will fit either centre some won't. According to the parts lists for 2003 and 2007 the clutch basket has the same part number. There is no data for 2002 on the GG website. I thought the first 400s appeared in 03 but I maybe wrong there. Probability is that it will fit.

That part also has not changed between 2003 and 2007 so it's a fair bet it will fit.

I have heard that the timing chain is the same as one used in a Kawasaki KLR 250.
