200 gearing
So ive got about 20 hours on my 2014 200. I have made jetting changes and have gotten them very close to where I like it, and i ride from sea level to 5500ft. Currently Im at 172m, 40pj, #6 slide, NEDH #2 clip. Runs a tad rich yet at 50:1. Just performed squish band clearance test and dropped my head off at RB designs. Im going to put a few hours on it with the head mod, then try a 6.5 slide if its still a tad rich This should make it perfect. So im very happy with the way things run, it has been ultra reliable so far, and has plenty of ripping power. Other than doing the carb mod down the road, I would like to change my rear sprocket to something more suitable to the terrain I ride. Currently I'm at 12/48. I was thinking of trying 12/50. Can anyone refer me to a good durable sprocket? What do you other 200 owners ride?

Any of the Italian Husky sprockets fit. There are tons online or you can call a Husky dealer to get them. |

13/50 works for me. Numerous sprocket choices, AFAM, Ironman, Sunstar, Talon, PBI, Sprocket Specialist and other.

I started off with 12/48 and immediately switched to 12/50; made a huge improvement when riding the tight stuff out in Tillamook.
I still found myself going into 1st a bunch with the usual false neutral at the worst moment (lol), so I swapped to 12/52 and now spend my time going between 2nd and 3rd - so much better. I still use 1st when needing to climb something, but it's much better. Granted, I'm not all that fast and prefer a relatively slow trail pace. I thought it would be an issue when we hit China Hat a month ago, but it wasn't a problem. Again, I'm not worried about top end speed - figured out that trees hurt more when you're going faster...LOL. I have my 50T rear just sitting in my garage, it's in great shape - happy to get a picture of it if you have any interest (thought I'd be swapping back and forth, but haven't needed to). |

12-50 is working well for me.
I like supersprox or ironman they last a long time with a quaility chain.

I have a 13 xc200r pretty much all I ride is Browns camp area. I'm running 13/52, stock was 13/50. I think the 13/52 is a good compromise, In terms of riding fast and slow stuff. But that's the only two combos I've tried so take it for what it's worth. Rental sprocket seems to be good quality.
I'm running the same jetting as you but I had my #6 slide cut to a #7 (No notch) by Rob. It was on the rich side like yours until I had it cut. It's almost perfect now. I'm doing the head mod soon, I've been putting it off because it runs really good right now. Last edited by Adrian200xc; 06-06-2015 at 01:16 AM. |
