This is my third one and I work on others so I know all the quirks and tricks. Check your right footpeg. There may not be enough releif to clear the brake pedal when the peg folds in a fall. It hits the pedal and will bend the post and mount bolt. My '03 was also like this. A few minutes on a grinder fixes it no problem.
