I don't know, and I also do not know how much it improves the bottom end/mids.

If you have a machinist you can make a spacer for the old cover, like this

That website has a lot of Gas Gas parts. Anyone ever buy from them in the US?

Regarding motocrosscenter, they do ship world wide but you should message them first to get a shipping fee price. I always buy from them because of the cheaper VAT fees in Spain, but i'm in EU so it might not work out too well for you in the US.
