Dave with Gasgas Pacific may have located one, I have to thank the importers for working on this for me... awesome stuff.

The part is a 2014 e-start ring gear.

I told our Polaris rep to get on it! But if they build GG's like their quads and RZR's they will be a POS!

I heard a rumor that the sale is contingent with the factory staying in Spain. That has elimintinated a couple of possible bids. Its just a rumor now so take that with a grain of salt.

Hey at least that article gives a ballpark date for bids to start coming in.

Sounds like Sherco just wants the factory and not the brand.

Sounds like all the potential bidders just want the factory itself. I could see Sherco buying it as they do not have enough production capacity. This would also benefit them as without a factory to build bikes in, GG is all but dead and would eliminate some of its competition.

GG is not dead. From the classic movie the princess bride...

"Turns out your friend here is only MOSTLY dead. See, mostly dead is still slightly alive."

Whoever buys GG assets could have a healthy revenue stream for gg parts... Parts are more profitable than bike sales - which is why parts shipments have continued during the shutdown of the assembly line. And GG has a great "commonality" on parts across model years for their 2 strokes - which increases economies of scale...

The way I read it ScottyR was saying that if GG was to lose the factory in the proceedings they would be all but dead. Not that it was the case at the moment (inconceivable!).
