It appears it comes down to individual bikes and how much we all notice. A few things to consider.

Flywheel balance and Crank balance would be probably most likely in causing the variances. I've also read that certain bar/grip combos can change how much the vibes are felt. My 2010 uses the Twin walls which apparently transfer the vibes quite well.

That was something I was worried about too when I went from a 250 to a
300. I had ridden friends' 300 KTMs and found the vibration annoying. But on this 300, I don't notice the vibes any more than on my old 250.

I don't know why but the older Models are much smother and vibrate not so much. The newer Models have more vibrations but in my opinon still ok.

Check the trans oil level, make sure it's not over full.

You can neutralize the motor by loosening ALL the motor mounts, including the swingarm pivot bolt and the head stays.

Start the engine and rev a few times.
Retighten all the motor mount bolts-start at the swing arm pivot and work your way to the front.
The head stay bars should be parallel and not squeezed together at the head. You may have to shim it if it is.

The exhaust pipe should slide on/off without binding.

Basically, you're looking to eliminate any vibration causing harmonics.

my 06 de 300 vibrated pretty good, you could feel it in the pegs and bars. I got used to it ... my 11 250 is pretty smooth
