Ahh so you do have an in-line filter?
It is such a tight radius if you put a straight length in it it is easy for the line to crease inside strangling flow. It is hard to see and often inconsistent. An external spring as found on some roadbike can help.

I had the same problem like that at theme subject. My problems start when I change carbon polini reeds on plastic boyesen reeds. Engine has no power at high RPM. My bike is gas ec 300 1999 or 2000. Needle N1ED on #1, MJ 185, PJ 42, fuele level was check and it is fine. Maybe the broblem is with power reeds, because when I take off air filter, I saw how mixture was take out from carburetor.
Do you have any ideas?
